Outside the "slums" communities have established their own security,
just like a "gated" in the good ol' USA with numerous armed guards.

With fewer people and less access, one would think attacks and violence
would be down much more than it is.

When Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN)
was threatening to change the Senate Filibuster Rule
to Cut-Off "Filibuster-Debate" with a simple majority of 51 votes
instead of 60 votes to End
AND
now that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)
is threatening to Filibuster any Resolution Opposing a Troop Surge in Iraq
OR
Filibuster any Cutting-Off of Funds for the Troop Surge in Iraq
SO
where are the Repugnican't (neo-con republicans) screaming
for a change to a simple majority of 51 to end (cut-off) a Filibuster?

Talk about Foley - Haggard "Double-Standards"
WHY don't Republicans have strength of conviction in their ethics?
Say one thing and do another.

What makes it so ironic (moronic) is the good neo-cons here in South Carolina
calling for the head of Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
for being in the "Gang-of-Fourteen" dedicated to stopping the change.
What a DRAG, where are their voices now.

What current event (change of situation) will cause them to realize
their "Blindly following Bush" is Not a good choice.

BTW, I oppose changing the Rule from needing 60 votes to end debate (filibuster).

There is not enough truly Independent (swing voters)

to get a good read on who could win the most votes

in the Presidential Election of 2008.

Bush Speech on "New Way Forward in Iraq"

with a surge of sending extra U.S. Troops into Baghdad

is nothing but a political move to give some Republican Members of Congress

a chance to save their elected seat in 2008 by saying they oppose the surge.

Democrats got suckered again.

To believe the ISG was conceived by a Republican controlled Congress
to promote bipartisanship for handling the Iraq CHAOS is absurd.

Why was return emphasis placed on "Early 2008" ?
Why Not "Early 2009" or "Late 2007" ??

I've got to admire Jim Baker for getting pushed across good works
to present an idea to reduce or eliminate the Iraq chaos months in advance
of the November 2008 Election.
